HEAVEN, Above (BP) — The Holy Spirit’s role as the third person of the Trinity will be vacated March 1, 2006 after several millennia of diligent work among the people of Earth. Replacing him in the Trinity will be the inerrant and infalliable Holy Bible. In response to calls that he had been muscled out of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit responded, “I’m not Stan van Gundy. I’m stepping aside for personal reasons, for family reasons, and that’s all. The Holy Bible will do a phenomenal job convicting people of their sins for me.” Calls to the Southern Baptist Convention went unanswered.
[Just Call Me Joe]
I'm a graduate of the University of Mobile and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I left New Orleans in 2008, spent a year in Fort Worth, Texas, then moved back to Mobile.
I like people, but bad things happen all the time. I want to help people in the world's poorest and hungriest countries learn ways to become more sustainable. Agricultural, architectural, and environmental education and higher standards reduce the effects of inevitable disasters. If we really love people, this is something that needs to happen to save lives.
I currently serve the Mobile area as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Alabama Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross. As always, the opinions I state on my blog are personal and do not represent the American Red Cross or any organization with which I am affiliated.
