I lived in New Orleans for three years (with a fourth year of exile not included). One of my favorite places to walk around is the French Quarter, and I got down there often. St. Louis Cathedral is probably New Orleans’ second or third most recognizable symbol, behind the Superdome and the Saints (and maybe Cafe du Monde). In addition to my postcard photo of the church, below you’ll see a few artistic photos of its reflection in a puddle on Pirate’s Alley.

I took the vertical shot of the Cathedral’s exterior in December 2006 on a chilly, foggy morning. The photo would have been great, if it weren’t for that truck. Ahh! The reflections were from a hot, humid, sunny day in September 2007.
