In the last post I mentioned the Kananaskis part of my trip to Canada in 2007 (read all about it here). These are three more of my favorite photos from that day. I planned to drive north to Banff, but a missionary lady in Cochrane told me I should drive Canada Highway 40 south through the park before spending the night at my friends’ place in Okotoks. BEST ADVICE EVER.

I call the photo below “The Tiger’s Back.” Cheesy, I know. It makes me think of a spot on a pirate’s map.

The biggest regret about my whole trip was that I only spent a few hours in any of the parks. I was in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park for about four or five hours; Glacier NP for only about four; the same for Yellowstone; and only a couple in the Badlands. You can’t see much of anything in that amount of time. I could have spent two weeks in each park alone and barely covered any ground at all. We can all dream, right?
