I'm a graduate of the University of Mobile and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I left New Orleans in 2008, spent a year in Fort Worth, Texas, then moved back to Mobile.
I like people, but bad things happen all the time. I want to help people in the world's poorest and hungriest countries learn ways to become more sustainable. Agricultural, architectural, and environmental education and higher standards reduce the effects of inevitable disasters. If we really love people, this is something that needs to happen to save lives.
I currently serve the Mobile area as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Alabama Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross. As always, the opinions I state on my blog are personal and do not represent the American Red Cross or any organization with which I am affiliated.

Last Saturday night I caught up with a couple friends from high school. I can’t believe it’s been over ten years. This was my mini-reunion- I missed our actual ten year reunion in October because I was shooting my seminary friends’ wedding in Mississippi. (Photos were taken with my iPhone.)
