Alan Siegel talks about simplifying legal jargon, from credit card agreements to IRS forms. Considering a 1000+ page health care bill was just signed into law, it seems this is a talk worth listening to. It’s about four and a half minutes. Take the time to watch it. Finally, something we can all agree to: let’s make life a little less complicated. There’s no need for legal jargon in everyday life.

I'm a graduate of the University of Mobile and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I left New Orleans in 2008, spent a year in Fort Worth, Texas, then moved back to Mobile.
I like people, but bad things happen all the time. I want to help people in the world's poorest and hungriest countries learn ways to become more sustainable. Agricultural, architectural, and environmental education and higher standards reduce the effects of inevitable disasters. If we really love people, this is something that needs to happen to save lives.
I currently serve the Mobile area as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Alabama Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross. As always, the opinions I state on my blog are personal and do not represent the American Red Cross or any organization with which I am affiliated.
